Music Visualization with 8x8 Matrix (Work in Progress)
I want to upgrade my LED bike project to react to music, but before I go reconnecting all of my wires on the main project, I decided to create a small desktop VU Meter to experiment with what the possibilities are.
Again, I'm excited to try to create what many might call a more advanced "Arduino" project with Microsoft MakeCode and micro:bit.

Next, I want to add a potentiometer that will set the sensitivity of the animation so that I can adjust the peaks of the LED bars separately from the volume of the audio.
And, I'm questioning what to do next - would be worth it to make this battery powered? On one hand, I made it to sit next to me on my desk so that might be overkill. On the other hand, it's annoying to plug in the USB cable AND the audio cable and if it was battery powered I could take it on the go to make a cool visualization for my phone or any music device. But would I care to bring it with me? I need to think more about if it's worth it.
I'll figure out the build and then make the enclosure look nice next.
That's where I am, here I go!
