What? -->

This project is the quick win project that gets kids making!
Flashy Flowers and Blinky Bow Ties were an extremely successful at Maker Faires across the country. It has  engaged over 5,000 kids with a maker project that is super simple and relevant to them. I want the project to have an even greater impact by making classroom kits and releasing the design files. I want to see maker groups and youth groups everywhere can continue to make these projects and invite kids into making.
Now, I'm making a kit so that schools, maker spaces, girl scout troops and crafters everywhere.
I need funding to release new classroom / maker-space packs, design new lesson plans and videos, and to offer new digital files for makers to use the designs with their own creative materials.

Bring the workshop to you!
The Flashy Flowers and Blinky BowTies Workshop will invite kids who are new to DIY electronics to build their first electronic circuit as a part of an expressive, wearable craft project. This combination of art and technology has been popular amongst S.T.E.A.M. education supporters.
The workshop is about 1 hour long and is for up to 10 students at a time. It is designed for 3-5th graders, but we have had success with all ages, even adults.
My goal is to share this experience with as many kids as possible. I understand that for many organizations, money is tight. Please fill out this form to show your interest in bringing a workshop to your space. I will be asking for supporters on Kickstarter to bring the workshop to organizations like you for very low cost or free.  :)
